Important Info Before Your First Ballroom Lesson

How do I schedule for beginner ballroom class?

Click sign up through the schedule above based on your preferred day and start date, or text/call (801) 466-0490. Prepayment is required to register.

What should I wear to ballroom dance lessons?

Wear something comfortable for physical activity and choose footwear carefully. Shoes with semi-smooth soles usually work best so you do not stick or slip on the floor. Ballroom dance shoes are available for sale at the studio and are a great option for dedicated dancers.

What should I expect in Level 1 ballroom lessons?

Beginner ballroom introduces you to multiple partner styles and builds your overall social dance foundation. Weekly class recap videos may be posted in the style-specific Facebook group. If you expect to miss multiple classes, you may want to consider private lessons or another appropriate drop-in option.

How does ballroom pricing work?

Group class pricing is per person. The cost per lesson goes down with larger packages, with options that can range roughly from $4 to $20 per class depending on what you purchase. Visit the pricing page for current options.

Do I need a dance partner?

No. Partners are not required for ballroom lessons. Instructors rotate partners regularly, which helps students learn faster and improves the class experience for everyone. If you come with a partner, you may choose to stay together, though rotating is strongly recommended.

What happens after I finish Level 1?

Once you are comfortable with the beginner material, you may be ready for Level 2. If you need more repetition, you can repeat beginner ballroom or book a private lesson. Your instructor can help you decide what makes the most sense next.
