What Makes It Different

A More School-Style Format

DF Dance Academy is designed for students who want a more connected learning environment. Instead of attending occasional drop-in classes, students follow a progressive path where each week builds on the last.

Who It’s For

Built for Dedicated Students

This path is for students who are ready to commit to regular training, stronger accountability, and a more focused approach to long-term dance development.

Launching First

Salsa / Mambo Track

The first DF Dance Academy path will focus on Salsa On2 / Mambo development, giving Salt Lake City dancers a more intentional way to build timing, partnerwork, shines, technique, and long-term confidence.

This track launches the week of May 4, 2026 and connects naturally with DF’s new partnership with Empire Mambo.

Entry Point

Placement Through the Mambo Experience

Dancers attending the Mambo Experience on Saturday 04/25 will have the opportunity to be placed into the appropriate DF Dance Academy level by the visiting Empire Mambo teachers.

That makes the workshop weekend both a training event and a strong entry point for dancers who are ready to start the Academy path in the right place.

Who Tends to Fit DF Dance Academy Well

  • Dancers who want stronger structure and clearer progression
  • Students ready to commit to regular weekly training
  • Dancers who value correction, accountability, and consistency
  • Students who want a more connected technical path in Salsa / Mambo
  • Dancers who want more support outside of class through recap tools and labs
  • Students who enjoy small-group learning and higher attention from instructors
