The Mambo Experience by Empire Mambo NYC
DF Dance Studio is bringing a true New York mambo training experience to Salt Lake City. Join us for a special weekend with Empire Mambo from NYC as two couples from their Pro Team come to perform and teach a focused 4-hour Mambo intensive built around partnerwork, shines, and stronger Salsa On2 fundamentals.
This event also marks the start of an exciting new partnership between DF and Empire Mambo, bringing Adolfo Indacochea’s teaching methodology to Utah. This is just the beginning — stay tuned for the May launch of the Salsa On2 Program at DF, powered by Empire Mambo.

From NYC to Salt Lake City

More Than a Guest Workshop
This is the start of something bigger. The Mambo Experience introduces DF dancers to the training philosophy behind Empire Mambo and opens the door to the upcoming Salsa On2 Program at DF powered by Empire Mambo.

Workshop Schedule
The free community class is open to anyone who wants to explore Salsa On2 foundations or refresh before the intensive. The paid workshop is for dancers with previous Salsa experience.
FREE Community On2 Class
Taught by DF Dance Teachers, this class is absolutely free and open to anyone who wants to learn the foundations of Salsa On2 or refresh before the workshop.
Mambo 1 & 2
Focused training in partnerwork and shines with Empire Mambo’s visiting Pro Team couples.
Break
Reset, refuel, and get ready for the next training block.
Mambo 2 & 3
Continue into the higher-level material with more partnerwork and shines designed for dancers already building an On2 foundation.
Experience level: previous Salsa experience is required. At least 2+ years is recommended.

Is this workshop beginner-friendly?
The free community On2 class is beginner-friendly and open to anyone. The paid intensive is not a beginner workshop — prior Salsa experience is required, and 2+ years is recommended.
Can I come just for the free class?
Yes. The 11:00am–12:00pm community On2 class is free and open to anyone who wants foundations or a refresher before the intensive.
What will the intensive focus on?
The intensive is centered on partnerwork and shines through Mambo 1–3 material taught by visiting couples from the Empire Mambo Pro Team.
Why is this event important for DF?
This is the launch of a new DF partnership with Empire Mambo and the beginning of bringing Adolfo Indacochea’s methodology to Salt Lake City, with the Salsa On2 Program launch planned for May.
