Start With the Steps
Work on footwork, weight changes, turns, and keeping time. Learn a sequence in manageable sections, then practice putting it together.
Practice a Dance You Know
Get help with a tricky transition, remembering a sequence, or feeling more comfortable dancing to the music. Spend time on the parts you need to repeat.

Before Your First Lesson
Do you offer group line dancing classes?
We currently offer line dancing through private lessons only. Use the appointment booking area above or contact the front desk to arrange a lesson.
Can I book if I’ve never danced?
Yes. Let us know you’re a beginner so the instructor can start with basic steps, rhythm, and changes of direction.
Do I need a partner?
No. Line dancing uses a sequence of steps without partner connection, so you can learn on your own with an instructor.
Can I request a specific line dance?
Send us the dance name, song, or a video when you inquire. We’ll discuss your request with the instructor before confirming what can be covered.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that let you move and turn. You don’t need special dance shoes to begin.

Lessons take place at DF Dance Studio in South Salt Lake, serving the Salt Lake City area. Get directions and studio contact details . Arrive a few minutes early to check in.
