New Program

Modern Country Swing — Now at DF Dance Studio

Technique-forward, high-energy & social. Our MCS classes focus on proper frame, connection, safer mechanics, and musicality—taught by DF’s trusted instructors.

Country Swing Friday Social No partner required Intro required for Level 1

Modern Country Swing vs. Rodeo Country Swing

Same country fun—different focus.

Modern Country Swing

Connection • Technique • Musicality

  • Emphasizes frame, leverage/compression and clean lead/follow
  • Pattern flow inspired by contemporary partner-dance technique
  • Safer progressions; tricks introduced responsibly
Rodeo Country Swing

On-the-spot bar style

  • Optimized for crowded floors; spins, dips & tricks are common
  • Often blends Hustle & other swing influences
  • High-energy, social vibe (safety training essential)

DF teaches both: Rodeo Country Swing (our long-running program) and now Modern Country Swing for dancers who want more technique and competition-ready skills.
